2009: PhD (University of Sheffield); respiratory syncytial virus interactions with neutrophils.

2009-2012: Postdoctoral Researcher (Medical College of Wisconsin and The Ohio State University); HIV-1 interactions with dendritic cells.

2012-2017: Postdoctoral Fellow (University of Maryland School of Medicine); molecular biology, pathogenesis and treatment of highly pathogenic human coronaviruses (SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV).

Research interests

Virus: host interactions of highly pathogenic coronaviruses, in particular antagonism of the innate immune response by Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV)
