Chloe Ross-Benham

Profile

I graduated in 2022 with a 1st class MNatSc, BSc in Natural Sciences (Chemistry with Biochemistry) from the University of Leeds. During my undergraduate degree, I undertook a summer research project in the Wilson lab, which involved synthesising peptides to investigate protein-protein interactions. During my masters research project, I worked on developing cross-linking reagents.

Research interests

As a postgraduate researcher, I'm currently working on a chemical biology PhD project in the Nelson and Radford labs, where I am developing small molecule modulators of amyloid fibril formation. The project involves covalent ligand discovery using direct-to-biology, and characterisation of the modification using various techniques including mass spectrometry and NMR.
