Profile
I am Jinchao Guo, coming from China, currently a PhD student in Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds. I got a bachelor degree in animal medicine at Agricultural University of Hebei, and got a master degree at Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. During the three years of my postgraduate time in master, I mainly constructed several infection clones by inserting the Pseudorabies virus's genome into the vector bacterial artifical chromosome, with the help of CRISPR/Cas9. I also construced several other plasmids that help to further manipulate the virus for genome editing.
Research interests
Personally, I am interested in virus study, including genome manipulation, protein-protein interaction, the protein structure study, and how the virus recognize the host cell, enter the cell and defend the host cell's immunity.
