Profile

I began my PhD in November 2020 after obtaining a First Class (BSc) in Biomedical Science with a Profressional Training Year from Cardiff University.

I spent my Professional Training Year at AstraZeneca in Cambridge working on target validation within Biosciences Oncology.

Research interests

I am interested in the mechanisms by which cancer cells metastases to secondary locations, which is a significant cause of cancer related deaths, and the role of the physical microenviorment in the development of metastases.

Specifically, my research will comprise of the optimisation of multiple microenviroments and cellular components in order to create an accurate 3-dimensional model of cancer metastasis which could ultimately lead to the discovery of novel therapeutic targets in the treatment of cancer metastasis.
