Profile
I completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Paul Fraser at Royal holloway University of London. My Ph.D. focused on the production of ketocaroteniods in tomato and the esterification process within the fruit. As part of my BSc I spent a year working in industry studying early flowering and metabolite conversion in tobacco.
In 2021 I moved to the University of Leeds to work in Professor Brendan Davies group to study the role of conserved peptide upstream open reading frames (CPuORFs) on the regulation of translation.
In 2024 I started working with Professor Nicola Stonehouse on the production of virus-like particles (VLPs) in yeast to generate alternative vaccinations against poliovirus.
