Profile

My background is in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Data Science / Machine Learning. I completed my degree here at the University of Leeds, where my Masters project involved implenting ML models on ovarian cancer and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) datasets from Leeds Teaching Hospital, to predict mortality and disease progression, respectively. The AKI prediction algorithm attracted funding from Kidney Research UK, so I returned post-graduation in 2022 to continue my research in this area.

Research interests

My research revolves around using Machine Learning to understand and predict disease dynamics. Currently, I'm working on predicting stage 3 Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) from large, longitudinal datasets from Leeds Teaching Hospital. Beyond academia, I'm involved in navigating the commercial, clinical, and regulatory landscapes to translate our research into real-world solutions with tangible patient benefits.
