Profile

I completed my formative training in Biochemistry and Systems Biology (BSc) at Imperial College London, with an industrial placement year at GSK, Stevenage. I trained in machine learning, computer vision and deep learning through an extended predoctoral internship under the guidance of Prof. Dan MacLean at The Sainsbury Laboratory, Norwich. I conducted my doctoral research under the supervision of Professors David Westhead (Bioinformatics) and Reuben Tooze (Haematopathology) at the University of Leeds, focusing on patient stratification using machine learning in histopathology. This PhD led to award of an internal Innovation & Impact grant, funding my first Research Fellowship to commercialise research.
