Thomas A. Edwards Ph.D.

Profile

Dr Edwards is an Associate Professor in the School of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Leeds and currently Deputy Head of School, and a co-investigator on the PoPPI EPSRC programme grant. He has acted as Deputy Director of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology 2011-2018, and School Director of Research 2016-2018. 

Dr Edwards obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry at the University of Bath in 1992, and a Ph.D. in Biology also from Bath in 1996. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Aneel Aggarwal at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York (1997-2003) in the Structural Biology Program, and was promoted to a faculty position in 2003.

Dr Edwards joined the University of Leeds in April 2005.
