Join us in celebrating 25 years of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology.
You are invited to celebrate 25 years of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology.
For 25 years, the Astbury Centre has been seeking to tackle some of the biggest challenges in biomedical discovery, and has made important contributions to our understanding of areas as diverse as neurodegenerative diseases and antimicrobial resistance, paving the way for wholly new therapeutic opportunities.
It’s also been the recipient of considerable investment from the University in the last 10 years, allowing researchers to build a world-leading research capability in the heart of our city.
Renewed major investments from philanthropy, UKRI and charities are ongoing, aiming to bring together Astbury science with research in the NHS and the Leeds Biomedical Research Centre, creating fantastic new opportunities for interdisciplinary discovery science.
By attending the event, you will hear from its Director, Professor Neil Ranson, who will report on what the Centre has done with the University’s support, and describe their exciting plans for future research excellence.
This will be followed by a drinks reception for colleagues to network.
