Research interests
We study how neural circuits encode sensory information, and how that encoding is shaped by learning and the body’s internal state. Our research centres on olfactory circuits and plasticity, and on metabolic modulation of neural activity, two themes that converge in the olfactory bulb.
We use a range of cutting edge techniques to explore how neural circuits operate, including: multi-photon imaging, electrophysiology, optogenetics and computational modelling. See my lab page for more details.
