Alumni return to pass on their knowledge to current students

Twelve Faculty of Biological Sciences graduates and one member of our Industrial Advisory Board returned to the Faculty of Biological Sciences this semester to talk to the students about their current roles and how to apply for similar roles.

The graduates spent two hours with the students: one hour introducing themselves and answering general questions in a lecture theatre and the second hour chatting to interested students, informally, over lunch.

The roles of the graduates included PhD student, clinical trials specialist, ecologist, student dentist, agricultural development, computational biologist, science communicators, online retail project manager, HR and Commercial Management, assurance and occupational therapy.

We would like to run a similar event every year.  If you’d like to come along and pass your knowledge on, please contact us via the ‘Get Involved’ section.
