Top 100 in the world for life sciences

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 has placed Leeds in the top 100 for life sciences.

The University of Leeds has been ranked in the top 100 in the world for life sciences in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018.

The annual Times Higher Education World University Rankings is the only global university performance table to judge research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

A total of 13 performance indicators are judged to provide a comprehensive and balanced comparison. Numbers of FTE students, the ratio of students to staff, international student percentages, industry income, and scores for research and teaching are among the areas analysed.

The life sciences ranking showcases the leading universities for areas including biological sciences and sport science.

The University of Leeds is positioned equal 13th of all the UK universities featured for life sciences, and equal 89th in the world.
