Professor Dane Vishnubala leads the Sport and Exercise Medicine Group and is a leading voice in sport and exercise medicine education, clinical practice and academic leadership. His interests include team care, sport and exercise medicine, physical activity, concussion, musculoskeletal ultrasound and medical education. He is the Editor in Chief of the BMJ Open SEM scientific journal.

Dr Camilla Nykjaer co-leads the group and plays a central role in the development and delivery of our postgraduate programmes. Her work spans physical activity, maternal and public health, education and interdisciplinary healthcare research. She is the current Deputy Editor of the BMJ Open Sport and Exercise Medicine scientific journal.
