Celebrating 75 years of the NHS
FBS are honoring the milestone by saying thank you to all the NHS staff, students, and researchers, both past and present, who have played their part in making the NHS what it is today
A word from our Executive Dean
“The NHS plays a vital role in helping people stay healthy.
“At the Faculty of Biological Sciences, we’re proud to be part of that collective effort whether it’s through our cross-faculty partnerships, inspirational teaching and world leading health research into cancer, viruses, neuroscience, and cardiovascular disease, to name a few.
But at the heart of the NHS is its people. The expertise, dedication and compassion of staff and researchers not only drive innovation but they ultimately improve lives.
“Whilst we may face different health challenges to those faced in 1948, when the NHS was first established, what will remain the same is the tenacity and kindness from all of those who dedicate their lives to making a difference.
“On this special occasion, I would like to personally thank them for their incredible work.”
