Reverse-phase HPLC using organic solvents for analysis of small molecules, peptides and some proteins. Quantitative and preparative chromatography. UV and visible detection, including diode-array detection providing spectral information. High-throughput analysis of many samples using an autosampler. Data collection at multiple wavelengths (and using diode-array spectral data) help identify different molecules. HPLC can separate even very similar molecules.
