FEI Titan Krios microscopes
We have two state-of-the-art Titan Krios microscopes equipped with direct electron detectors (DED) for high resolution imaging. Krios 1 is equipped with a FEI Falcon 3 DED and is primarily used for single particle data collection (using FEI EPU software) of macromolecular complexes (> 200 kDa). Krios 2 is equipped with an energy filtered Gatan K2 summit and a phase plate therefore this microscope is ideal for tomography data collection (using FEI Tomo or SerialEM software) and single particle of < 500 kDa macromolecular complexes (using FEI EPU software).
FEI TF20 microscope
TEM used for cryo-EM and imaging ambient specimens, with field emission gun and equipped with a FEI Ceta CCD camera. SerialEM software is available for single particle or tomography data collections. The Gatan 626 and Oxford Instruments 3500 side-entry cryo holders are available for use on this microscope.
FEI T12 microscope
TEM used for cryo-EM and imaging ambient specimens, with Lab6 filament and Gatan UltraScan 4000 CCD camera. The Gatan 626 and Oxford Instruments 3500 side-entry cryo holders are available for use on this microscope.
JEOL 1400 microscope
TEM used for imaging ambient specimens including negative stain and resin sections, with tungsten filament and Gatan UltraScan 1000 XP CCD camera.
