Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography

Overview

Welcome to the Macromolecular X-ray Crystallography Facility at the University of Leeds.

The facility aims to provide research groups within the University of Leeds and as well as external users access to the expertise and instruments required for the structural determination of biological molecules using X-ray crystallography. For crystallisation we have the Formulator liquid handler along with the Mosquito nanolitre and the Formulator NT8 LCP crystallisation robot. For imaging we have two Rockimager1000 systems with UV and SONICC imaging technology. Additionally, we have a dedicated FRAP imager for LCP crystallisation imaging. Data collection is available at both the Diamond Light Source Ltd, Oxfordshire and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, France.
