Sample submission for external users
If you wish to send a sample to the Facility for analysis, please contact us via email at email@example.com to arrange delivery.
You should download and complete the appropriate sample submission form from the downloads section and generate a purchase order (PO) via your finance/purchasing office.
A copy of the sample submission form and a copy of the purchase order sheet should be sent along with your sample (please note that results of analysis will not be made available until the purchase order sheet has been received).
Results for molecular weight analysis and de novo sequencing are usually available and emailed to you within five working days of receipt depending on demand and provided all instruments are fully operational.
Samples should be addressed as follows:
Postal Address (for samples stable at ambient temperature):
Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology,
Astbury Building, Faculty of Biological Sciences,
University of Leeds, Leeds, LS2 9JT
Samples shipped at 4 °C or -20 °C should be addressed to our Goods Inward:
FAO: MASS SPECTROMETRY FACILITY
Faculty of Biological Sciences – Goods Inward
5.34 Roger Stevens Building
University of Leeds
Please contact the MS facility prior to shipment to ensure that someone is available to receive your package.
All couriered parcel should be sent next day delivery. Please do not send parcels by same day delivery as we cannot accept anything after 4pm.
Similarly please do not dispatch on Fridays as packages cannot be accepted over the weekend.
Samples on ice should be sent by courier (TNT, UPS etc.) and not Royal Mail. All Royal Mail packages are delivered to the central mail room which causes a delay in samples getting to us.
