Undergraduate Facilities

The Garstang Laboratory space is designed to facilitate collaboration and allow you to fully immerse yourself in your research. With integrated office spaces, these labs simulate working in a professional industrial body, providing you with invaluable research experience.

Significant features include a suite of BSL2 tissue culture labs, incubators for tissue culture cell growth and laminar flow hoods for safely manipulating cells. A separate level 3 Biosafety live virus lab is where we grow viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, Dengue virus and HIV.
