Sport and Biomechanics Labs

Sport and biomechanics facilities document

Our Sport and Biomechanics lab offer you multiple methods for challenging the normal state of the body. Alongside numerous exercise equipment such as treadmills, bikes and rowing machines our labs include reflex testing equipment and pressure plates.

Other specialist features include an environment chamber, hypoxia units for inspired oxygen control, blood pressure sphygmomanometers and heart rate monitors, ECG signal processing setups, and much more.

High speed and 3D cameras with reflective markers capture real-time motion for further analysis. Computers within the labs can build upon this data and develop computer simulations for hypothetical experiments unable to be performed in real life.
